Dr. Trey Ayala is a licensed physical therapist and owner of Invictus Sports Medicine, now partnering with Poeta Training Center to help athletes, parents, siblings, and friends of PTC prevent and/or recover from injury, improve mechanics, become stronger, faster, and ultimately perform better. Trey brings a unique background and immense passion to the field of sports medicine, which provides greater outcomes and better results to the patients and clients he works with.
Trey earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Missouri, Columbia. During his time at “Mizzou” Trey also received additional training/education in post-concussion rehab in order to appropriately implement treatment techniques and progressions for athletes to safely return to sport following concussion. Trey also holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology, which he earned while competing as a Division I wrestler at West Virginia University. Trey combines his experience and mindset as an athlete with a patient centered, research-based treatment approach in order to deliver individualized care for his patients and help them achieve their goals. He has experience in multiple sports based settings treating recreational, high school, and collegiate athletes. Additionally, Trey is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
